MICROSOFT MONEY 2005 FREE VERSION FOR WINDOWS 7 64 BIT

I am about to go to the 64 bit final version, rather nervously.Īs i do not use Money for for tax reporting I have not needed to update, so cannot comment on that. Money 2003 runs perfectly on Windows 7 RC 7100 32 bit. When I found the later disc and installed Money 11 it was fine (phew!) Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and sorry to have been slow to take it. I'd installed Money 10 having forgotten that I'd subsequently got Money 11 (2003) with a later computer. Hi again Glyn, and sorry, you were spot on. There's a lot of data in there so I'd be grateful for any further ideas! Having searched my memory I am sure that the 2002 disc is the last one I had, so unless it's somehow updated itself on line (I certainly haven't bought any upgrades) it's the version in which the file was written. Hi Glyn and thanks for the speedy response. Definitely got the correct version installed? Usually when Money asks for a password, it means the file is a file from a later version of MOney to the one installed.

MICROSOFT MONEY 2005 FREE VERSION FOR WINDOWS 7 PASSWORD

The obvious device of just hitting return when I get the password prompt doesn't work. The program looks all right but when I try to open the saved file with all my data it asks for a password which the file never had (at least I never put one on and was never asked for one on the old machine). I have installed the program, from the original disc, on the laptop I am now using which runs on Vista. I have been running Money 2002 for some years on a PC which has now crashed terminally. The issue with you could be the same as bill, although given you posted your message on 12th May, it is also possible that you're running into this problem which is stopping the 2005 download.įor anyone else who was running into this problem, it looks like they have resolved the issue in the WIndows 7 Release Candidate.

MICROSOFT MONEY 2005 FREE VERSION FOR WINDOWS 7 UPDATE

The update is never effored (creatingf a new file etc.) even with shuting down frire wall and Avast resident Protection. Same as Bill with same money version 14.0.120.805, and Windows 7 RC build 7100, plus Avast and Windows 7 advanced firewall. The update of MS Money is not offered, even with stopping firewall and Resdident protection of Avast. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, tognether with windows 7 adavnced firewall and Avast. I've got exactely the same problem as Bill with the same version of MS Money 2005 14.0.120.805, running on Money should then prompt to download the update, and when done so (by checking the version number), you will be able to open the Money 2005 file. I'd start Money as an administrator (right click on the item on the Start Menu and select the 'run as administrator' option). Hi Bill, don't know if you're using Windows 7, however, the steps are the same. Problem is that if i dont update to 1105 i cant restore my backup(which was performed with 14.0.120.1105 and needs to be restored from the same version) :/ Just installed the money 2005 on a new pc and the problem is that it wont auto update from v14.0.120.805 to the latest 14.0.120.1105

Every time I click on "Tax Summary" Money crashes. Everything seems to work okay except for the tax estimator section. I've been using Money 2007 Home and Business for a few months on Windows 7. Attempted to run it in Vista SP1 and XP SP3 compatibility mode but that didn't do anything. Then when attempted to run the program it looks like it is going to open, the splash screen appears and then the program exits immediately. Installed with no problems and on initial run it requested to update. Installed Money Plus 2009 on Windows 7 Build 7048 圆4. It perhaps depends on the way you did it - was it an installation over a previous version of Windows? If so, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Money.

"Money was unable to load the registration library (dll)." Any ideas?

MICROSOFT MONEY 2005 FREE VERSION FOR WINDOWS 7 32 BIT

I installed Windows 7 on 32 bit machine and I am getting an error. However, that's not really designed for personal finance. if you've got a small business there's always Microsoft Office Accounting 2008, which I think is free. So long as you can track your spending in Money 12 (Money 2004), and export the data into something like Excel, I think you could carry on using that version without having to change. After 4 years on Money 2005, I guess it'll remain that way. No idea whether MS will release another UK version.

so would appreciate kjnowing if I should move away from MS onto a product that will have a UK timeline. I guess the obvious question is are we ever going to see another UK version? I am currently using Money v12.0 in the Uk and need to step up to do tax returns etc. Glynn, Just read the ongoing debate re: UK Versions of Money.
